Never had these issues before but they seem to have stated after that big automatic update that MS rolled out. I'm running Windows 10 64bit Pro (build 18362) on a very powerful machine (i7-7700k 64gb RAM, SSDs (2x PCIe, 2x SATA, GTX1080). Could someone please tell me if the above problem sounds like the same as I'm having, and if so please could you give me very simple lamens directions on how to fix it? Or should I do a fresh install of Windows? Is there a less painful method of cleaning it up? I'm afraid the above posts are double-dutch to myself as I'm a total novice when things start getting complex with computers. Never done that before! And none of my games run anymore - they all crash - and trying to access task manager (which used to be fine) is now impossible as it just freezes up and crashes too (if a game is running but hanging). clicking on Windows settings now hangs for a good 3-5 seconds, as does switching between open process windows, all followed by a black refresh of the screen then all the actions during the hang catch up.
